2017 Electricity Residual Mixes now published

The AIB has now published the Residual Mixes and European Attribute Mix of 2017. As in previous years, Grexel Systems was responsible for carrying out the calculations.

The volume of explicitly tracked consumption continued to grow whereas the share of untracked consumption shrank. Both indicators support the role of guarantee of origin as a reliable tracking instrument. Austria was declared as the first “full disclosure” meaning that all consumption is certified with GO. The need for balancing residual mixes via a centrally calculated EAM grew indicating even stronger polarization between importing and exporting countries.

The AIB press release can be found here and the complete results here.
