Grexel continues to deliver the Hungarian registry solution
Grexel is pleased to announce we will continue to deliver the Hungarian registry solution for Guarantees of Origin. This continues the long cooperation between Grexel and the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority (MEKH).
During this cooperation the Hungarian Guarantees of Origin landscape has seen many changes. Hungary has joined the Association of Issuing Bodies and started trading their EECS-Guarantees of Origin Europe-wide. Also, the Hungarian auctions for Guarantees of Origin have been launched by the Hungarian Power Exchange (HUPX).
“Our cooperation with MEKH started about 10 years ago and I’m very excited to see it continue. Recent development of the Hungarian GO system is impressive, and we can expect a lot to happen also in the years to come”, says Markus Klimscheffskij, the CEO of Grexel.
While the Hungarian system initially keeps operating on the well-known CMO.Grexel platform, the migration to the new Grexel platform G-REX is already being planned. The new platform will allow to perform a variety of operations through the APIs the system is built on.
“For MEKH it is satisfactory that we can rely on Grexel’s experts who have been in the frontline of GO services for many years. Now, when our framework has gone through significant changes, we have joined the AIB, and Hungarian GOs, supported and not supported as well, can be sold through auctions, Grexel’s professionalism and competence mean a great value and safety for us.” – said Mr. Péter János Horváth, MEKH’s President.
Grexel is excited about the continued cooperation with MEKH and looking forward to supporting the further development of the Guarantees of Origin-field in Hungary.
