Meet Our New Energy Certification Trainee 

In April, Grexel warmly welcomed Luca Tuchtefeld, our newest addition to the team, as an Energy Certification Trainee for a 2-month tenure. His primary responsibilities include delving into Residual Mix Calculation, an important aspect of our operations. With his background in energy markets and experiences at institutions like ECC and Nodal Exchange, Luca brings a depth of knowledge and understanding to his role at Grexel. 

Joining EEX Group in July 2022, Luca initially served as a working student at ECC’s Physical Settlement Operations Department before interning at Nodal Exchange. These experiences have equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the energy markets, providing a solid foundation for his current role at Grexel. 

One of the aspects Luca appreciates about Grexel is the opportunity to engage with diverse tasks within a small company structure. This setup fosters seamless communication and collaboration, allowing Luca to connect with colleagues easily and contribute effectively to the team’s objectives. 

CEO Markus Klimscheffskij shares his enthusiasm for Luca’s presence within the team:

“Luca’s enthusiasm, skills and past experiences fit perfectly for an internship in energy certification. With his knowledge of the energy market structures, he’s able to contribute to various parts of our business and upgrade especially our residual mix calculation process, which will be his main project during his 2-month tenure” 

When Luca isn’t immersed in energy certification tasks, you’ll often find him immersed in music, either with his band “The Proms” or contributing his talents to EEX’s company band, EnErgetiX. His passion for music serves as a creative outlet, complementing his analytical work at Grexel.
