Markus Klimscheffskij has started as the new CEO of Grexel
Markus Klimscheffskij joined the Grexel team in the beginning of August. He will formally replace Marko Lehtovaara as the CEO of the company in the beginning of September.
Markus has been working with sustainability, climate and renewable energy throughout his career. He worked at Grexel as Renewable Energy Expert (2011-2014) and Director (2014-2016). Later he gained new perspectives on sustainability at Gaia Consulting before returning to Grexel.
“Re-joining Grexel is like coming home. It brings me great joy to carry the torch after Marko as well as to make future history of energy certification together with my incredibly smart and warmhearted colleagues.”, Markus declares with a smile.
Markus stepping in as the new CEO of Grexel marks the end of an era, as Marko Lehtovaara steps down. Marko founded Grexel in 2001 and has led the company from day one.
“The transition period is bittersweet for me. Grexel has played a huge role in my life for a very long time now. Nevertheless, I am happy to see Markus as my successor. I have the utmost confidence in his ability to guide Grexel from now on”, says Marko.
“I’ve had a fantastic first week and I’m starting to grasp how far both the Grexel platform and GO-system have developed in the past few years. I am very happy to be here – and eager to get started”, Markus finishes.
